Bio

Dr. Guentter completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and holds BS degrees in biology and psychology. He graduated from SUNY University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he completed an externship at the Dental Medicine Urgent Care Clinic, administering emergency dental care to underprivileged patients. While in dental school, he pursued several elective courses in which he had an interest, including in laser, emergency, forensic, and sports dentistry.

Prior to joining Dr. Scarazzo's team, Dr. Guentter was the sole dentist in an office performing general dentistry, including mini dental implant surgery and restoration, dental implant restorations, crown and bridge restorative work, scaling/root planning, root canal therapy including molars and extractions. Dr. Guentter works with the North Penn School District, performing dental health exams for students throughout the district, and is also a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr Guentter has a lifelong passion for higher education. He has taken several continuing education courses to gain aditional skills and dental knowledge. In 2020 he became certified in Bioclear anterior and posterior restorations. Dr. Guentter continuously seeks out opportunities to further his education in order to better serve his patients. Notably, he completed a 5-course series with the prestigious Misch Resnik Implant Institute, where he studied various aspects of implant surgery. As part of this series, he learned surgical techniques including bone grafting to preserve socket space, advanced grafting to increase jaw thickness and height, sinus lifting techniques, immediate implant placement and restorations, and ideal implant surgical locations for predictable restorative results. Upon completion of the course, Dr. Guentter passed the exam for the Fellow award with the Misch Resnik Implant Institute with one of the highest grades in his co-hort.

Dr. Guentter resides in North Wales, PA with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, taking his rescue dog on walks, tending to his backyard chickens, fishing, and hunting.
